PekingUniversityisthebirthplaceofChinesescientificPsychology,anditsundergraduateeducationinthedisciplinebeganin1900.WiththesupportofCaiYuanpei,theformerchancellorofPekingUniversity,thefirstPsychologicallaboratoryinChinawasestablishedin1927.ThislaboratoryisthepredecessoroftheDepartmentofPsychology.
